Wanna One will be disbanding officially on December 31st 2018. One Korean media outlet has shared their speculations on the future plans of the members.
According to Swing Entertainment which announced on December 18th that their contract would end on December 31st 2018, they had asked fans to continue support the members’ future career endeavors. It is expected that each member would return to their respective entertainment companies to prepare for a new beginning.
For members that have originally debuted, Hwang MinHyun would return to Nu’est and begin their group activities in the early half of 2019. As for Ha SungWoon, it is undecided if he would also be returning to HOTSHOT or have his own solo promotions.
For Lee DaeHwi and Park WooJin, there is a high chance that they will be joining the members of MXM and most probably debut under a new group under their company, Brand New Music.
Aside from members who have plans to re-join or re-debut under groups, there is also a high possibility for members that would debut as a solo artist. According to insiders, many are expecting Kang Daniel to debut the first as a solo artist. There has been talks of how he would be a solo dance singer that would awe his fans with his powerful stage presence.
As for Yoon JiSung who is in the same company as Kang Daniel, it is unlikely that he would be doing any promotion as he will be serving his mandatory military service. It is currently revealed that he is preparing to take the examination for conscripted policeman.
Remaining members, Park JiHoon, Bae JinYoung, Ong SeongWoo, Kim JaeHwan and Lai KuanLin, also have plans to re-debut as solo artists. Especially for Park JiHoon, Ong SeongWoo and Lai KuanLin, they might also be heading towards the field of acting while promoting as singers too.
