Kpop wave swept Billboard's 2018 year end chart

On December 4th, Billboard revealed the annual charts for 2018. BTS, EXO, BLACKPINK, NCT127, GOT7, and more have ranked high in the charts.


For 'World Albums' chart, BTS manages to take all the top 3 spots with 'Love Yourself: Tear,' 'Love Yourself: Answer' and 'Love Yourself: Her.' EXO member Lay's solo album 'NAMANANA' follows at #4 and BTS JHope's mixtape 'Hope World' at #5. EXO's 'Don't Mess up My Tempo' ranks 8th, and BTS RM's 'mono' ranks 9th. BLACKPINK's 'Square Up' comes in no. 12 spot, BTS' Japanese album 'Face Yourself' comes in no. 13, and NCT 127's 'Regular-Irregular' comes in no. 14.

As for the 'World Album Artists' chart, BTS is at the top place, followed by Lay in the 2nd place, EXO takes the 5th place, JHope takes the 6th place, RM takes the 7th place, BLACKPINK takes the 9th place, and NCT127 takes the 10th place.

BTS and EXO have also listed in the year-end 'Top Artists' chart in no. 8 and in no. 76, respectively.

Billboard also lists top-selling albums across all genres that are sold via independent distribution in the 'Independent Albums' chart. BTS' 'Love Yourself: Tear' takes no. 3, 'Love Yourself: Answer' takes no. 4, and 'Love Yourself: Her' takes no. 9. Along with BTS, Lay also entered the list with 'NAMANANA' at no. 34 on the chart. 



Last, but not least, the 'Social 50' chart. After maintaining the #1 place for 103 weeks overall, BTS is at the top of the year-end 'Social 50' chart for 2018. The other artists are EXO (2nd), GOT7 (6th) NCT (9th), MONSTA X (11th), SEVENTEEN (12th), Wanna One (14th), NCT 127 (23rd), BLACKPINK (28th), TWICE (33rd), Stray Kids (41st), NCT Dream (43rd), as well as SHINee (46th).
