The reasons given include that Seungri requested the postponement to participate in his investigation and that the investigative authorities asked the military to delay the enlistment so they can conduct their investigation consistently and thoroughly.

Seungri's enlistment has been postponed until June 25, when his status for military duty will be reevaluated. His enlistment will be postponed if imprisoned or 'other unavoidable reasons', according to the military administration's statement.
The Military Manpower Administration also plans to amend the law so that they can have the power to delay enlistments for persons who are enlisting after causing a societal disturbance, or if they are requested to by investigative authorities.
Seungri was due to enlist as an active duty soldier on March 25. He is currently being investigated as a suspect of allegedly breaking anti-prostitution laws, among other allegations.
